This is an interesting article about the Scottish prisoners who landed in Boston, MA in 1652. There were four Munros on the boat (spelled “Monrow on the passenger list”) and one is thought to be John Munro (~1632-1691) who was the great-great grandfather of Squire Munro (1758-1835).
